This annual event celebrates the delicious wild huckleberry which grows in surrounding mountains. A community breakfast and all-school reunion kicks it off the event from 7-10:30 a.m., the parade follows at 11a.m., craft and food vendors, entertainment, a huckleberry dessert contest and silent auction, a Highland Games demonstration, activities and games for kids, a firemen's barbecue, the free "world's longest huckleberry sundae" at 3 p.m., and an outdoor evening showing of a movie and cartoons at dusk. The Huckleberry Hot-Rod Show-n-Shine is held in conjunction with the festival. A truly unique small town festival.For more information, call 541-898-2620. Last weekend in July

    • 9 to 10  Car Show Registration


    • 10 a.m.  Craft & Food vendors and Wolf Creek Grange Food open


    • 10 a.m.  Parade Line-up


    • 11 a.m.  Festival Parade "Huckleberry Funn"


    • Noon - 5  Live entertainment at city park


    • noon - end  Mud Volleyball Tournament begins - 10 teams compete


    • 12:30 - 3  Huckleberry Hot-Rod Show-n-Shine (8 categories)


    • 1 p.m.  Huckleberry Dessert Contest judging begins


    • 1 p.m.  Kid's games begin & Library Silent Auction


    •  2:30 to 4  Dragon Theater Puppet Show


    • 4 p.m.  Free "World's Longest Huckleberry Sundae"


    • 5 to 7  NP Rural Fire Department BBQ Dinner


    • 6 p.m.  Huckleberry Dessert Contest Auction at fire station
